Education

RANDAL HAWORTH'S early education was at The King's School, Canterbury, England, the oldest boarding school in the world. He did his undergraduate work in chemistry and biology, with a minor in art history and graduated with honors. In 1988, after graduating with the HIGHEST HONORS (ALPHA OMEGA ALPHA) from the USC School of Medicine, he completed his five-year General Surgical residency at THE NEW YORK HOSPITAL CORNELL MEDICAL CENTER in Manhattan in 1993. This comprehensive training included specialized experience at the prestigious MEMORIAL SLOAN KETTERING CANCER CENTER in NYC. Returning to the West Coast, he served as CHIEF RESIDENT in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center and gained extensive experience in the sub-specialties of aesthetic, micro, pediatric and hand surgery. During his time at UCLA, Dr. Haworth earned the title of PLASTIC SURGICAL CONSULTANT OF THE YEAR for 1993-94.

Plastic Surgeon

In 1995, his pioneering technique in natural, permanent lip augmentation, utilizing the patient's own tissue, won him the esteemed PLASTIC SURGICAL RESEARCH PRIZE at UCLA. DR. HAWORTH subsequently established his own practice on Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills. Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, DR. Restylane® and Restylane Fine Lines®

New FDA approved fillers that expand the horizon for both the plastic surgeon and the patient. Ideal for facial wrinkles and folds and select cases of lip augmentation. No skin test is required and effects generally last longer than 6 months.

Radiesse™

Expensive , but worth it in the long run, since its longevity far surpasses other fillers currently on the US market. Reports indicate that the effects last between 3-5 years within the face. Excellent for the nasolabial folds and the Marionette lines (running from the corner of the mouth to front of the jowls).

Aquamid™

The filler of the future from Denmark. A permanent, yet removable, injectable plumper that feels completely natural within the body. Approximately 95% water and the rest polyacryamide gel, Aquamid™ seems to be the most ideal substance today for facial rejuvenation and beautification through injection alone. As of yet, it is not FDA approved, so it is only offered under certain circumstances.

Of course, the tried and true will still be available , since they serve the certain needs and life styles of specific patients, These include Botox Cosmetic™, microdermabrasion, collagen products, such as Zyplast™ and Cosmoplast™ (the human derived collagen).
